NHE host Scott Murphy chats to writer/directors Armando Fonseca and Kapel Furman about their latest feature “Skull: The Mask”. An ultra-gory, action slasher with tinges of supernatural and cosmic horror!
If that sounds like a crazy mix, it is! And how they balanced all those elements is just one of the things we talk about with the pair. Also, in the interview (starts at 2:03), we speak to them about Skull’s unique look, how they accomplished the movie’s impressive practical effects, and how they overcame some of the challenges they faced while filming. Including one of their filming locations flooding the night before they were due to film.
Elsewhere in the interview, Armando and Kapel talk about what horror films have most influenced, give us an insight into the current cultural climate in Brazil. And tell us how they feel about not being able to see their movie with a festival audience given the present circumstances.
