NHE host Scott Murphy chats to director, screenwriter & horror novelist Matt Shaw about his recent second directorial feature “Next Door” and a horror short film he penned “A Nightmare On Elm Street: Up All Night.”
In the interview (the interview begins at 1:39), we talk to Matt about the many things that went wrong with the production of “Next Door” including Matt having to fill for an actor at the last minute and how the silent movie segments were an impromptu decision. We also try to desperately avoid being sued as Matt talks about a particularly troublesome actor on the set of the production and his racist/sexist/homophobic behaviour.
We also talk about the much more fun shooting experience of “Up All Night”, how he hopes one day that into a feature and we get an insight into his insane sounding latest effort “They Came From The Sky, I Saw Them” which is done in the style of no-less a filmmaker than Ed Wood himself!
