Welcome back to our brand new Guilty Pleasure’s series! A series we have begun as part of our friends Bloodhound Pix #HorrorNotFear campaign, which will see New Horror Express along with several other outlets offering bonus content over the next year.

We ran a poll on social media platforms to see which film we would look at in our “Scream Knock Offs” edition of the series between “Valentine” or “Cherry Falls”. And with nearly 2/3rd of the vote “Cherry Falls” was the victor.

On the show to deep dive into “Cherry Falls” alongside our host Scott Murphy we have two great former guests in “Death of a Vlogger” director Graham Hughes and “Incredible Violence” director G. Patrick Condon.

Neither of whom had seen the movie before, so we get their initial thoughts. You can also hear us discuss how effective the film’s unique twist on the slasher formula is (this killer hunts virgins) and how its sexual politics looks even more relevant in 2020. And how it could be ripe for a remake. Plus, we delve into some of the weirder aspects of the movie, and we ponder if the presumed lost, uncut version is better.
